Infosys Buyback Golden Opportunity for Retail Investors

What is a stock buyback?

A stock buyback happens when a company repurchases its own stocks from the existing shareholders. Buybacks are frequently a sign of effective capital management and high corporate confidence. As long as they act within the allotted time frames and have a thorough understanding of the rules, they offer retail investors the chance to earn rewards at a premium price.

Good news is that Infosys is buying back its Stock.

Its offer details are

  • Buyback Size: A large-scale ₹18,000 crore tender offer buyback,

  • Record Date: The record date was set for November 14, 2025, which means the process for tendering shares will begin after this date.

  • Buyback Price: The buyback price is set at ₹1,800 per share. Note that promoters have stated they will not participate in this program.

  • Promoter Participation: Promoters have confirmed they will not participate in this buyback

  • Process For Tendering: To be eligible for a tender offer buyback, you must be a shareholder by the record date. Therefore the record date is very important. Shortly after this date, the share tendering procedure will start. Investors may find the fixed price of ₹1,800 per share to be an alluring way out, particularly if the market price is lower at the time of the buyback.
